The Estandon Estate is a vineyard located in La Londe-les-Maures in Provence, France. This prestigious estate spans an area of 175 hectares and is an exceptional mix of diverse terroirs, considering the different altitudes and geographical positions. The Estandon Estate produces fine, rich, and structured wines, sure to delight the palate of even the most refined tasters. The vineyards are primarily cultivated using a cultivation method known as "green work," which involves allowing vine shoots to lengthen and thus form a barrier against moisture and weather. This method also allows clusters to ripen more slowly and develop a more intense aroma. Winemaking at the Estandon Estate is meticulous and carried out with ancestral know-how. After maturing for 14 months in French oak barrels, the wines are ready to be bottled, clarified, and bottled. The red wines are characterized by a deep and intense ruby hue, accompanied by a round and velvety mouth. The white wines are fresh and full-bodied, with scents of spring flowers and notes of exotic fruits. The Estandon Estate also offers tours and tastings to allow customers to discover the various wines produced. This is the perfect opportunity to become familiar with the territory, to better understand the different grape varieties, and to learn about their flavoring. It's even possible to enjoy a unique gastronomic experience tasting the local produce offered by local star chefs. The variety and exceptional character of the wines produced at the Estandon Estate make this place a unique location to taste and purchase delicious French nectars. Don't miss the chance to discover one of the region's largest wine estates.

Discovering the wine region of Provence

Provence is a wine region in the far southeast of France, best known for the quality (and quantity) of its rosé wines and for its Warm, mild Climate. The modernization that is taking place in many of the traditional wine regions of southern France has not yet taken place to the same extent in Provence, but there are Clear signs of change. The region's Grape varieties, in particular, have come under scrutiny in recent decades. Traditional varieties such as Carignan, Barbaroux (Barbarossa from Sardinia) and Calitor are being replaced by more commercially viable varieties such as Grenache, Syrah and even Cabernet Sauvignon.

The term "Varietal improvers" is gaining ground in Provence, as it is in the neighbouring Languedoc-Roussillon. The most successful local varieties, Mourvèdre, Tibouren and Vermentino (known locally as Rolle), have remained in favor, proving their value in Provence wines, in red, rosé and white respectively. The Vineyards of Provence cover an area of France's southeastern coastline that measures about 200 kilometers from east to west.
