The Cave de Turckheim is a prestigious large winery located in the Alsatian village of Turckheim, in Haut-Rhin. Founded in 1947 by Paul Hatz, it remains today the family estate that it was at its origins. Within its 17 hectares of vineyards, Cave de Turckheim produces a full range of Alsatian white wines, including the famous "Riesling-Sylvaner". The winery is led by the Hatz brothers, Philippe and Christophe, who continue their father's legacy and love for wine. The vineyard cultivates its own vines on clay-limestone soils without any chemical intervention. Turckheim wines are vinified respecting traditional methods, so that they fully reflect the terroir and the distinctive character of this wine region. The Cave de Turckheim produces a wide range of Alsace wines, ranging from very balanced Pinot Blancs and Pinot Gris to robust and productive Gewurztraminers. It is one of the largest producers from the Alsatian terroir with over 18 different grape varieties. The wines served at the Cave de Turckheim are always carefully selected in order to reflect the diversity of Alsace wines. In addition to producing its wines in-house, Cave de Turckheim also offers a selection of wines produced by other Alsatian cooperative cellars. The products offered include Alsatian wines, but also French, Italian wines, etc. The winery also offers wine-tasting courses and cellar tours.
