The Château de Meursault is a wine estate located in Meursault, at the heart of the Côte de Beaune, in the Burgundy vineyard area. The chateau is one of the most famous wine estates in the region, and its wines are considered one of the best expressions of Pinot Noir. The estate has been run by the Palme family for several generations. The family has always endeavored to produce wines of consistent quality, whilst respecting the terroir. The vine stocks are aged from 40 to 80 years, and are harvested manually to guarantee the quality of the grapes. The wines are aged in French oak barrels for 12 to 15 months. The Château de Meursault also produces a line of special cuvées, which combine modern winemaking techniques with a focus on respect for the terroir and traditional skills. The special cuvées include the Grand Meursault, Meursault Charmes, Meursault Les Charmois, Meursault Vignes Blanches and Meursault Perrières. Each of these cuvées represents the personal expression of the Palme family and the region's wines. The Château de Meursault is open to the public and offers tastings, tours and winemaking seminars. The property also organizes events and festivals around the world, celebrating the authenticity of Meursault wines and their terroir. Visitors can also buy wine directly on site and discover their famous appellations.

Pinot Gris is a grey grape variety mutated from Pinot Noir. It has its origins in Burgundy, where it is called pinot-beurot in reference to the colour of the grey robes worn by the monks of the region.
