Domaine Gramona is a precious treasure located in the exceptional wine region of Catalonia, Spain. This region is known for its quality wines, but also for its stunning diversity of soils, climates, and grape varieties. At the heart of this mosaic of terroirs, Domaine Gramona stands out uniquely. With a history dating back over 130 years, Domaine Gramona has established itself as one of the leading wineries in the production of still wines and cavas (traditional Spanish sparkling wines). It has managed to preserve a family heritage while being innovative. Led by the fifth generation of the Gramona family, this operation embodies passion, tradition, and excellence, while displaying a strong desire for innovation to ensure a sustainable future. The vineyard covers an area of 150 hectares, mainly planted with Xarel.lo and Macabeo, the two major local grape varieties for the production of cava. Each hectare is cultivated with meticulous care and attention, respecting the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture to maintain soil health and ensure the authentic expression of the terroir in each bottle. The superior quality of its wines and cavas is the result of a combination of several factors: exceptional terroir, unmatched attention to detail in viticulture and winemaking, and unwavering commitment to authenticity and expression of the terroir. Domaine Gramona's wines are recognized for their finesse, refined and complex structure, and their ability to age gracefully. By visiting the estate, one can discover the historic cellars where the wines and cavas are aged, as well as the new ultra-modern winemaking complex, designed with sustainable principles.
