A very old variety grown in northern Italy and recently in Sardinia. It can also be found in Greece, New Zealand, etc. In France it is practically unknown. It is most certainly related to Teroldego and Refosco dal Pedunculo Rosso and is said to be the brother of Lagrein, all three Italian varieties. It is also related to completer.

Scotch whisky exports grow by nearly 20%
Export shipments were worth £4.51bn last year, up 19% on 2020, but 8% below the total of £4.91bn recorded in 2019, according to HMRC figures quoted by the Scotch Whisky Association (SWA). DBR Lafite CEO Jean-Guillaume Prats to step down
Jean-Guillaume Prats is set to leave the business around four years after being appointed CEO and president of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (DBR Lafite). A DBR Lafite spokesperson said Prats would leave before the end of the year, in order to ‘devote himself to his family business and to consulting’.
