Outstanding ageing potential. Absolute star of Piedmont with Barolo DOCG and Barbaresco DOCG, also in Roero, Gattinara, Ghemme and Valtellina (Chiavennasca). A late-ripening Italian variety among the world's greatest.

Small DOC of Upper Piedmont (province of Novara), moraine soils of the Sesia valley. Nebbiolo (Spanna, 50–70%) as the signature red — taut and elegant with vivid notes of raspberry, rose, violet, undergrowth and a refined mineral-alpine touch, fine tannins and chiselled acidity. Vespolina and Uva Rara as aromatic complements bringing floral freshness and a peppery touch. Mandatory ageing ≥3 years (Riserva).
