The Clos San Quilico Estate is an exceptional vineyard located in Patrimonio, in Upper Corsica. Nestled in the north of the Isle of Beauty, it spreads over an area of 43 hectares and enjoys a geographical location favorable to viticulture. This family wine estate has a rich history dating back to 1769. Today, it is the eighth generation that perpetuates the winemaking tradition with passion and know-how. The vine of this estate is planted in clay and limestone soil, which gives the wines a unique identity. At the Clos San Quilico Estate, the emphasis is on quality rather than quantity. The vineyard is treated traditionally, without the use of chemical products. Pruning and harvesting are carried out exclusively by hand, and the wine is traditionally vinified, without the addition of yeasts. The Patrimonio appellation, the oldest in Corsica obtained in 1968, guarantees the quality of the wines produced at the Clos San Quilico Estate. Typically Corsican grape varieties, such as Nielluccio, Vermentino, and small-berry Muscat are cultivated there. These grape varieties give birth to wines of exceptional aromatic richness and beautiful complexity. The estate produces a variety of wines ranging from red, white and rosé wines in AOC Patrimonio, to naturally sweet wines in AOC Muscat du Cap Corse. Each bottle is a true expression of the Corsican terroir, revealing an inimitable character. The natural beauty of the Clos San Quilico Estate is undeniable. Its position on the hills offers a panoramic view of the Gulf of Saint-Florent and the Nebbio Valley, making the visit to the estate as pleasant for the eyes as it is for the taste buds.
