The wine region of Colli Martani is located in the region of Ombrie of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Arnaldo-Caprai or the Domaine Terre de La Custodia produce mainly wines white and red. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Colli Martani are Sangiovese, Merlot and Chardonnay, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Colli Martani often reveals types of flavors of citrus, lemon zest or honeysuckle and sometimes also flavors of stone, almonds or cheese.

According to recent genetic analysis, it is the result of a natural cross between the almost unknown Calabrese di Montenuovo (mother) and Ciliegiolo (father).
