Bodegas Olarra is located in the renowned wine region of Rioja in the heart of Spain, the cradle of Spanish wine. Founded in 1973, Bodegas Olarra quickly gained an impressive reputation in the production of wines of exceptional quality. Known for its respect for traditional production methods combined with an innovative spirit, the vineyard has succeeded in merging the best of both worlds to offer, year after year, wines that amaze and delight the palates of wine lovers around the world. The winery stands out for its impressive architecture. The main building, nicknamed "Cathedral of Wine", is a true gem of contemporary Spanish architecture. Its name comes from the impressive vaulted cellars, which recall the design of Gothic cathedrals, where the mature wine barrels are stored. The complex also includes a barrel cellar, a production facility, a quality control laboratory, as well as a tasting room that offers a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding vineyards. Craftsmanship and patience are at the heart of wine production at Bodegas Olarra. The estate has a production capacity of 3 million bottles per year, all crafted with care and passion from their 321 hectares of vineyards. The mainly used grape varieties include Tempranillo, Grenache, Mazuelo, and Graciano, each contributing to the complexity and richness of the wines produced. Bodegas Olarra specializes in the production of red wines, mainly Riojas. Their wines are renowned for their unique Rioja characteristic: a delicate balance between fruit, acidity, tannins, and alcohol that results in a wine that can be enjoyed young, but also ages well over time.
