The François Lumpp Estate is one of the oldest and most respected vineyards in the Givry region of France. The Lumpp family established their estate over four hundred years ago, beginning to cultivate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. However, since then, the estate has significantly evolved and expanded, as is the tradition in viticulture dating back to the family's origins. The estate now consists of over 30 hectares of vineyard, producing assorted and meticulously crafted wines from the character-laden region stretching from Givry to Beaune, including Châlons-en-Champagne and Chablis. The varieties produced include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gamay, as well as other varieties such as the Pinot Gris, Aligoté and Sauvignon grapes. The vineyard lies 612 meters above sea level near the Fontainebleau Forest, home to a variety of wildflowers and Mediterranean vegetation. The slopes contribute to a better maturation of the grapes and a calm and protected atmosphere. The François Lumpp Estate serves its wines under three different categories - premier wines, other wines, and varietal wines - all from grapes exclusively grown on the estate. Additionally, the vineyard participates in numerous wine promotion activities, including tastings, private lunches, and guided tours of the Estate for guests. The wines are renowned for their exceptional characteristics and their fruity and spicy flavor nuances orchestrated by their parcels. The François Lumpp Estate is one of the most renowned vineyards in the region. The wines produced by the estate proudly represent the ancestral viticulture tradition as well as the Lumpp family lifestyle. It serves wonderful and authentic wines that have been carefully crafted for over four hundred years.
