The Thénard Estate, a viticultural reference in Givry, Burgundy-Franche-Comté, was created in 1820 by Armand Thénard, a farmer, and follows a viticultural tradition that is almost 200 years old. Located on the hills between Givry and Pontailler-sur-Saône, the estate is now run by the fourth generation of the Thénard family, Eric and Pascal. The natural environment of Givry adds more snobbishness to the wines produced by the Thénard Estate, as they benefit from a unique terroir and a relatively mild climate, and their taste is very resistant and pronounced. The vineyards are carefully maintained and surrounded by a beautiful bucolic landscape. The wines produced by the estate are notably renowned for their intensity and minerality. They offer a symphony of complex fragrances and delicate aromas, some of which are abound with earthy aromas, while others are much more fruity and floral. All the wines from the Thénard Estate are fresh, full-bodied and rich, displaying a wide range of aromas and depth. Besides its wines, the Thénard Estate also has a wine interpretation center designed to allow visitors to discover their manufacturing and tasting work. Tours and tastings are organized on request, and the cellar houses a virtual museum of winemakers spanning several generations. The Thénard Estate is part of one of the oldest and most renowned wine regions in France, and its wines are considered wonders. It can be said that these wines are the result of the hard work and love of the family for viticulture.
