The Denis Mortet Estate is a family-run operation located in Gevrey-Chambertin, in Côte d'Or, that produces high-quality wines. Denis Mortet inherited over 2 hectares of vineyards from his parents. He then decided to establish his own estate, discovering over the years a talent for vinification and vineyard work. He developed his range of wines to become one of the largest estates in Burgundy. The estate's vines cover about 10 hectares, mainly located around the main villages of Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny. At this site, Denis produces superb white and red wines, such as the Grand Cru vintages. Each cuvée is produced with meticulous care, as each plot of vines has its own characteristics that offer a beautiful aromatic and gustatory diversity. Their winemaking approaches and wildlife management are very respectful of the environment. Denis and his team believe that the improvements in the production process are tranquil and non-invasive, which allows them to preserve the natural expression of the particular characteristics of each terroir. The wine is bottled without the addition of any products, making it one of the oldest estates to produce wines clarified with native yeasts, for harmonious results. Denis and his team are very proud of their wines and their balance between modernity and tradition. The wines of the Mortet Estate are often considered some of the greatest wines of Burgundy, and they are particularly appreciated by wine connoisseurs.
