The Château de Puligny-Montrachet is a wine estate located in the village of the same name, which is considered one of the most famous and recognized in the Côte de Beaune region. The property was founded in 1696 by Nicolas de Lamartiniere and is currently in the hands of the Tessier family, who have overseen it since 1921. The vineyard spans over 35 hectares, planted exclusively with white grape varieties, and includes vines located on the southwest slopes of Puligny-Montrachet. There are two appellations - the Château de Puligny-Montrachet grand cru and the Château de Puligny-Montrachet 1er cru - that produce high-quality white wines with a strong concentration and a green-yellow color. These wines have a fruity and aromatic flavor with notes of apricot, honey and apple, and good mineral character and a lingering finish. The Château de Puligny-Montrachet has an underground cellar that houses aged wines from the estate stored for preservation and tasting. The cellar is completely natural and is located 12 meters underground. The wines are kept at constant temperatures and in perfect darkness, which helps maintain their characteristics and organoleptic quality. The Château also has several other facilities and installations dedicated to wine, including a very modern press, a bottling station and a thermal vat that allows for malolactic fermentation. The Château de Puligny-Montrachet is a property that accumulates numerous awards and distinctions year after year. It is a reference in the region and internationally, and its wines are appreciated and sought after by connoisseurs from around the world. The high quality and remarkable craftsmanship of their wines are not a coincidence, but the result of several years of maintenance and development.
