The wine region of Alto Mincio is located in the region of Lombardie of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Bertagna or the Domaine Ricchi produce mainly wines red, white and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Alto Mincio are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet franc, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Alto Mincio often reveals types of flavors of citrus fruit, non oak or earth and sometimes also flavors of oak, spices or black fruit.
In the mouth of Alto Mincio is a powerful. We currently count 12 estates and châteaux in the of Alto Mincio, producing 34 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Alto Mincio go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, pasta or lamb.
