The soils of Saint-Pourçain are composed of tertiary sediments, topped by granitic bands and then by clays and limestones.
The vineyard is located at an altitude varying between 260 and 300 meters, on hillsides benefiting from a southeast to west exposure. The continental Climate is still subject to oceanic influences due to its location in relation to the Atlantic.
