An intraspecific cross between Müller-Thurgau and Siegerrebe obtained in 1948 by Hans Breider (1908-1960) at the Bavarian Research Station for Viticulture and Horticulture in Veitsnöchheim (Germany). The wine region of Côtes Catalanes is located in the region of Pays d'Oc of Vin de Pays of France. Wineries and vineyards like the Château de l'Ou or the Domaine Department 66 produce mainly wines red, white and pink.
