The Bonnet-Ponson Estate is a family-owned wine estate located in the prestigious Champagne region of France. Spanning over 10 hectares, it stretches across the terroirs of five different villages - Chamery, Chigny-les-Roses, Villedommange, Montbré, and Coulommes-la-Montagne. Known for its environmentally friendly production, the Bonnet-Ponson estate is a staunch advocate of biodynamic viticulture. Indeed, it has been organic certified since 2014, moving away from conventional practices to adopt a more natural and respectful approach to the earth. Thus, they do not use synthetic pesticides or herbicides and promoting ecosystem balance by preserving biodiversity. The winemaking process is a meticulous one at the Bonnet-Ponson Estate. For white wine, the entire clusters are gently pressed and naturally fermented in barrels, without the addition of yeast. Red wines, on the other hand, are aged in barrels for 12 to 18 months, adding complexity and longevity. Extended aging on fine lees for more than 5 years brings finesse, complexity, and vinosity to Bonnet-Ponson champagnes. Their champagnes are elegant, precise, and balanced, reflecting the richness and complexity of their terroirs. They offer a varied range of cuvées, ranging from single-plot cuvées to prestige cuvées. They are distinguished by their fine character, freshness, and expressivity, perfectly illustrating the philosophy of the estate. The Bonnet-Ponson Estate also offers a great range of wine tourism experiences. Visitors can discover the secrets of Champagne winemaking, explore the vineyards and cellars, and taste the different champagnes of the estate.
