Intraspecific crossing between the saint laurent and the limberger realized in 1922 and in Austria by Fritz Zweigelt (1888/1964) who named it rotburger. The wine region of Heideboden is located in the region of Burgenland of Weinland of Austria. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Judith Beck or the Domaine Scheiblhofer produce mainly wines red and white.
