The Pierre Usseglio estate is located in the famous French vineyard of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the southeastern wine region, near the city of Orange, France. It is a small family estate comprised of 40 hectares of AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape vines and 6 hectares of Côtes-du-Rhône vines. The Pierre Usseglio estate has been managed by the Usseglio family since its establishment in 1920, but it was in 1984 that Jean-Pierre and his son Philippe took over wine production. The vines are spread across the entirety of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir, intersecting slopes, terraces, and rugged plains. The grapes produced from these vines are mainly Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault, with an additional proportion of local specialties such as Clairette, Counoise, Muscardin and Vaccarèse. Each wine is produced with care and attention, giving them high quality. For the red Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine, the vinification process is meticulously followed and subject to rigorous quality control. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels to provide them with additional aromas, flavors, and a finer structure. The white Côtes-du-Rhône wines are aged in steel vats to preserve their freshness and fruity character. With typical wines and artisanal working methods, the Pierre Usseglio estate is today one of the major producers of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes-du-Rhône in France. When tasting their great wines, consumers can appreciate their quality and the unique character that is specific to them.
