The wine region of Bielersee is located in the region of Neuchâtel of Switzerland. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Beat Burkhardt - Weingut Bielerhaus Ligerz or the Domaine Hämmerli produce mainly wines white, red and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Bielersee are Pinot noir, Chasselas and Chardonnay, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Bielersee often reveals types of flavors of microbio, tree fruit or citrus fruit and sometimes also flavors of oak, red fruit or black fruit.
In the mouth of Bielersee is a with a nice freshness. We currently count 38 estates and châteaux in the of Bielersee, producing 203 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. Léon Millot noir is a grape variety that originated in France (Alsace). It is a variety resulting from a cross of the same species (interspecific hybridization). It produces a variety of grape specially used for wine making. It is rare to find this grape to eat on our tables. This variety of grape is characterized by small bunches, and grapes of small size. We find the Léon Millot noir in the vineyards of the Rhône Valley.
