Rising in the heart of the Moselle Valley in Germany, the Weiser-Künstler wine estate is a true emblem of the region's winemaking tradition. This estate is a perfect blend between the slate soil of the Moselle and authentic winemaking craftsmanship, making it a reference in its own right. The estate is co-managed by Konstantin Weiser and Alexandra Künstler, who through their passion and commitment, have managed to transform this wine estate into a gem of white wine production, mainly from the Riesling grape variety. Thus, they have managed to harmoniously blend tradition and innovation to produce wines that express all their complexity and typicity. With a surface area of nearly 4 hectares, the vineyard is planted on steep slopes that give the wine a unique character. The production is subject to biodynamic agriculture, which respects the earth and strengthens the identity of each plot. The Weiser-Künstler estate is indeed proud to maintain soil fertility through the use of natural compost and absence of chemical pesticides. The vinification takes place in an artisanal way, with oak barrel ageing and natural fermentations, to respect the fruit and authenticity of the wines. Thus, their bottles contain all the finesse and elegance of Riesling, with poignant mineral notes, typical of the Moselle. Although a small operation, Weiser-Künstler makes a big impression on the wine scene, with wines that have gained worldwide recognition for their exceptional quality. The Guide to the Best Wines of France has indeed awarded this estate two stars, praising its enticing, fresh and intense wines, always marked by a great purity. In summary, the Weiser-Künstler estate offers a true invitation to discover the wines of the Moselle, rich in flavors, textures and emotions.

The region follows the path of the Mosel river from its confluence with the Rhine river near Koblenz, upstream and south-west to Germany's border with Luxembourg and France. This region also includes the Saar and Ruwer tributaries, and was formerly known as Mosel-Saar-Ruwer until August 2007, when the name was officially shortened to Mosel. Some of the famous wine villages along the valley include Bernkastel, Brauneberg, Erden, Graach and Piesport, to name but five. Furthermore, the region boasts some of the finest and most picturesque Vineyards in Europe.

The Romans planted the first vineyards along the Mosel river and the city of Trier around the second century. Today, this region is known for its steep slopes overlooking the rivers, on which the vineyards are planted. Bremmer Calmont, located in the town of Bremm, has an incline of up to 68°. It has often been cited as the steepest vineyard site in the world, though the Engelsfelden vineyard in the Bühler Valley (Bühlertal) in the Baden region is documented at 75°.
