The Château La Nerthe is one of the most renowned vineyard properties of the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in France, which is home to stunning vineyards established nearly four centuries ago. Marquise Charlotte de Berlin, the mother of French poet Boileau, bought the lands in 1787 and thrived at La Nerthe until the French Revolution ended. Château La Nerthe spans a total of 56 hectares, 44 hectares of which are vineyard plots. The vineyards, which cover more than 3.5 km of corridors, are primarily planted with local grape varieties such as Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah. The vines are between 40 and 80 years old and have a blood style that offers great maturity and naturally intense aromas. Château La Nerthe is also known for its sustainable viticulture practices, emphasizing the health of the land and meticulous work on the vines that extend across terraced hills. Harvesting is all done by hand, a virtue that has been preserved over generations. The wines produced at La Nerthe are the exceptional expression of a great terroir and are recognized among the best cuvées of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The wines are carefully selected, including the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape "Les Cailloux". The wines are made for a minimum of three years' refining in French oak barrels before being blended and bottled. Château La Nerthe also owns historical cellars that are open to visitors and winemakers to taste the wines. All year round, themed visits are organized explaining the history of La Nerthe and regional culture. Visitors can also attend exciting tastings and demonstrations of regional cooking in the castle's magnificent restaurant.

Blending of several wines to obtain a single batch. Using wines of the same origin, blending is very different from coupage - a mixture of wines from different origins - which has a pejorative connotation.
