Deeply colored, simple and fruity reds with a dark ruby robe, lightly firm tannins and a direct palate, showing signature aromas of red fruits (cherry, raspberry), gentle spices and herbaceous notes. The wine region of Pfalz

Fleshy, dry, fruity Riesling is the region's signature: yellow peach, apricot, ripe citrus, lovely mineral tension. Germany's largest red-wine area (40%), with silky Spätburgunder showing red fruit and spice, darker structured Dornfelder, supple Portugieser. Some rounded Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. A 23,640 ha vineyard along the Haardt, among Germany's warmest (>2,000 h of sun).

The word of the wine: Aging

Period during which a wine is kept in a cellar where it goes through different phases of evolution of its aromatic range and a maturation of its constituents (evolution of the colour, refining of the tannins, harmonization of the different flavours, etc.). The wine evolves better and less quickly in large containers, whereas it deteriorates prematurely in half-bottles.
