The Jacques Prieur wine estate is closely linked to the Montrachet vineyard in Puligny-Montrachet, dating back to the start of the last century. Located in the charming little village of Meursault, just 10 meters away from the village, the vineyard offers spectacular views of the Puligny-Montrachet hills and surrounding grand cru vineyards. Jacques Prieur owns 13.5 hectares of vineyards that currently cover 9 appellations: Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Volnay Santenots, Chassagne-Montrachet, Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Pommard and Auxey-Duresses. The daily precision and patience, particularly throughout all phases of cultivation and winemaking, has resulted in stylish, elegant wines. The goal of the Jacques Prieur estate is to promote the terroir in a way that offers complex and balanced wines that reflect the meticulousness, attention and respect for established viticultural traditions and the family's perseverance. This appreciation and these values are conveyed through the trio "Terroir, Appellations, Respect" of which Jacques Prieur is proud. The Prieur family, who resides on the estate, produces white and red wines, some of which are considered among the best in France as well as on the international scene. The white wines produced by this estate (Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Auxey-Duresses, and Saint-Romain) are deep and balanced, full of structure and richness, with delicate flavors of apple and minerals. The red wines (Volnay Santenots, Pommard) are characterized by their intensity and complexity, with notes of red fruit and spices. Whether you taste the Chassagne garni, the Meursault Les Narvaux or the Volnay Santenots, you will discover marvelously balanced and finely woven wines that reflect the intensity and regional variety of the Puligny-Montrachet and Montrachet region.
