The Alto Los Romeros vineyard is a hidden treasure nestled in the heart of the lush Colchagua Valley in Chile. Spanning a substantial area, the vineyard is tinted a deep green, blending beautifully with the surrounding landscape. The distant Andes mountains provide a spectacular backdrop, adding a dimension of magnificence to the overall scenery. Alto Los Romeros, with its Mediterranean climate, is conducive to growing a variety of grape types. It gets its name from the small birds, known as Romeros, that nest among the vines and bring lively animation to the tranquil scenery. The winery is world-renowned for its full-bodied red wines and delicate whites, which reflect the rich terroir of the region. Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Malbec, and Syrah are just a few of the grape varieties grown here. The unique characteristics of the Colchagua Valley soil allow these grapes to ripen slowly, giving the wines an exceptional richness and complexity. Some of their most renowned wines include the Gran Reserva, a full-bodied red with notes of black cherry and cassis, and the Reserva, a light white with citrus aromas. Alto Los Romeros also distinguishes itself with its sustainable production philosophy. Environmentally friendly viticulture techniques are favored, all while ensuring the quality and integrity of every bottle produced. From grape cultivation to winemaking and bottling, every step is meticulously monitored to ensure the production of the highest quality wines. Visiting Alto Los Romeros is an experience in itself.

Pinot grigio is a grey grape variety mutated from Pinot Noir. It has its origins in Burgundy, where it is called pinot-beurot in reference to the colour of the grey robes worn by the monks of the region. It is particularly well suited to the continental climate because it is resistant to the cold in winter and to spring frosts. This variety also likes dry limestone soils with plenty of sunshine in the summer. pinot grigio is well suited to late harvesting or to the selection of noble grapes, depending on the year and the concentration of sugars in the berries. Pinot grigio wines are distinguished by their aromatic complexity of white fruits, mushrooms, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, etc., and their great finesse. In the Loire Valley, pinot grigio is used in the Coteaux-d'Ancenis appellations. It gives dry or sweet wines with pear and peach aromas.
