The wine region of Squinzano is located in the region of Pouilles of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Apollonio or the Domaine Conte di Campiano produce mainly wines red. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Squinzano are Sangiovese et Primitivo, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Squinzano often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or microbio and sometimes also flavors of oak, spices or red fruit.
In the mouth of Squinzano is a powerful. We currently count 17 estates and châteaux in the of Squinzano, producing 20 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Squinzano go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, pasta or lamb.
