The wine region of Mount Gambier is located in the region of Limestone Coast of Australie du Sud of Australia. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Good Intentions Wine Co or the Domaine Good Intentions Wine Co produce mainly wines white, red and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Mount Gambier are Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Pinot gris, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Mount Gambier often reveals types of flavors of strawberries, non oak or microbio and sometimes also flavors of butter, citrus or oaky.
In the mouth of Mount Gambier is a with a nice freshness. We currently count 9 estates and châteaux in the of Mount Gambier, producing 38 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Mount Gambier go well with generally quite well with dishes of veal, pork or game (deer, venison).
For those unfamiliar with the Vino de Pago qualification, it was created in Spain in 2003 to certify singular estates (pagos) as Protected Denominations of Origin. While not a requisite, it’s generally implemented by individual wineries looking to gain protected status for a single vineyard site within their domain. Nearly 9% of Champagne’s vineyard area will be covered by the merger between Centre Vinicole – Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte and the Coopérative Régionale des Vins de Champagne (CRVC), which includes the Champagne Castelnau label.
