Warmest sub-zone of Santa Ynez Valley (AVA 2009, 400 acres) east of Santa Barbara: signature Bordeaux varieties — Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot in rich ripe reds, emblematic tense Sauvignon Blanc.
