Château Carbonnieux, one of the oldest vineyards in Bordeaux, located in Pessac-Léognan in the Bordelais, was founded in the 13th century by the monks of the Abbey of Conac. In 1793, Pierre Guichard, a wealthy merchant, bought the estate and revived it by creating a true vineyard.
