The Château d'Eyran is an exceptional vineyard located in Pessac-Léognan, in the Bordeaux vineyards of France. Situated on the left bank of the Gironde, this estate is recognized as one of the greatest vineyards in Bordeaux. It is produced and managed by the Depetris family, who have also resided on the premises for over 35 years. The vineyard of Château d'Eyran spans a domain of 20 hectares, spread over eight distinct parcels. The château produces seven different wines, all from native grape varieties, including a red made from Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot, and a white made from Sémillon and Sauvignon. Their winemaking and ageing process focuses as much on quality as it does on the unique expression of the region's terroirs and grape varieties. The cuvée of Château d'Eyran Rouge is aged for 12 to 18 months in French oak barrels, while its Blanc is aged on lees for 10 months. The wines are accompanied by a strong character and spicy aromas, with significant fruity nuances. Its red is robust and well structured, while its white is fresh and balanced. Optimal maximums of quality and expression are achieved through extreme attention and very strict management at each stage. Central and ongoing research and development work is conducted in order to implement the most advanced environmental management and production technologies and methods. Château d'Eyran remains a prominent and prosperous member of the French viticultural elite. The wines produced are appreciated for their intensity, complexity and freshness, encompassing notes of fruit and unknown terroirs.
