DOC of south-western Sardinia (Sulcis archipelago, Sant'Antioco, Calasetta), old gobelet vines on warm sandy soils, iodine breezes from the Gulf of Palmas. Carignano is the exclusive signature red (local Carignan): rich and ample with intense blackberry, candied black cherry, plum, garrigue, Mediterranean herbs, spice and a peppery touch, enveloping tannins and sun-drenched fruit.
