The Burn Cottage Estate is a luxurious vineyard located in the picturesque Central Otago region of New Zealand. Nestled in the Cromwell Valley, the estate is the perfect embodiment of New Zealand's beauty, with its rolling landscape, spectacular panoramas, and pure mountain air. Established by Marquis and Dianne Savage, the Burn Cottage Estate spans 24 hectares, with about 10 hectares currently dedicated to viticulture. The estate is known for its biodynamic production of pinot noir and is certified biodynamic by Demeter. The Burn Cottage Estate displays a unique combination of diverse soils that blends clay, shale, and gravel. This richly composed land contributes to giving the Burn Cottage wines their distinctive character and complexity. The region's weather, characterized by warm days and cool nights, also allows for slow and complete maturation of the grapes, guaranteeing wines of excellent quality and great finesse. Even though the Burn Cottage Estate is relatively young (it was founded in 2002), it quickly gained a reputation on the international wine scene thanks to its high standards and the exceptional quality of its wine. The vineyard is managed by a dedicated and passionate team, including the viticulturist Clair Mulholland and the biodynamic viticulture consultant Peter Proctor, whose expertise and dedication help ensure that every bottle produced represents the best of Central Otago's terroir. At the Burn Cottage Estate, strict respect for the environment is a priority. The vineyard operates holistically, balanced with nature and in harmony with cosmic rhythms, resulting in wines that express the purity and integrity of the soil.
