The Domaine Bastide de Blacailloux is a majestic vineyard property spanning over an area of more than 100 hectares, located in Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department, in France. Its exceptional location on the foothills of the Sainte-Baume massif offers a spectacular panorama over the surrounding landscapes, while benefiting from a climate particularly favorable for viticulture. This estate, rich in clay-limestone soil, is a real gem of the Provençal terroir, producing wines with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) "Coteaux Varois en Provence". The vines, planted at an average altitude of 300 meters, benefit from full southern exposure, ensuring optimal maturity of the grapes. At the Bastide de Blacailloux, the vineyard is cultivated in accordance with ancestral traditions, with a constant desire to promote the expression of the terroir and the typicity of the grape varieties. The vinification is carried out in a modern wine cellar equipped with the latest technologies, thus combining tradition and modernity to produce high-quality wines. Discover the grape variety: Vermentino

The vermentino grape variety was widespread in Italy, Sardinia and Corsica. Today, Vermentino is grown in the regions bordering the Mediterranean, mainly in Provence (Côtes de Provence, Bellet), Corsica (Corse Calvi), Languedoc (Côtes du Roussillon, Costières de Nîmes) and the Rhône Valley (Côtes du Luberon). Because it ripens late, Vermentino requires a warm climate for its development and can only be grown in regions with good sun exposure. When vinified on its own, Vermentino produces a single-variety dry white wine that is light and full-bodied with a pale yellow color. Vermentino belongs to the grape varieties of Ajaccio, Corsica and Corbières. The aromas released by this variety are multiple.
