The wine region of Anjou-Gamay is located in the region of Anjou of Loire Valley of France. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Richou or the Domaine Richou produce mainly wines red, pink and white. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Anjou-Gamay are Gamay noir et Chardonnay, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Anjou-Gamay often reveals types of flavors of earth, oak or red fruit and sometimes also flavors of black fruit.
We currently count 14 estates and châteaux in the of Anjou-Gamay, producing 15 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Anjou-Gamay go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, pork or rich fish (salmon, tuna etc).
