Discovering the wine region of Chianti Rùfina

The wine region of Chianti Rùfina is located in the region of Chianti of Toscane of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Selvapiana or the Domaine Castello del Trebbio produce mainly wines red, sweet and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Chianti Rùfina are Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet-Sauvignon, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Chianti Rùfina often reveals types of flavors of cherry, orange or peach and sometimes also flavors of apples, cigar box or camphor.

In the mouth of Chianti Rùfina is a powerful with a nice balance between acidity and tannins. We currently count 43 estates and châteaux in the of Chianti Rùfina, producing 100 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture.
