The Château Monbousquet is a vineyard located in Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, near Bordeaux, in France. The Gasqueton family along with the heir Jacques Merlaut have been managing the property since 2000. The estate dedicates only 4.4 hectares to wine production, which also includes collection of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. From the winemaking point of view, Château Monbousquet strives to produce outstanding and authentic wines that reflect the style and quality of Saint-Émilion. The wines are produced with great respect for tradition. The vineyard has a rich and long history and comprises historical buildings and vines dating back to the 14th century. The parcels are composed of clay-siliceous soils and in the similar way as for the wines of the Burgundy coast, the different varieties of grape varieties are mixed together to create typical Saint-Émilion blends. Château Monbousquet produces a high-end wine. The grapes are regularly analyzed to guarantee wines of high quality.
