It can also be found in Spain, Italy, Venezuela, etc. It should not be confused with perlona, which is a white grape variety of Italian origin. Covering the entire western third of the vast island-continent, "WA" (as it is commonly known) stretches 1,600 kilometres (1,000 miles) from east to west. The word of the wine: Residual sugars

Sugars not transformed into alcohol and naturally present in the wine. The perception of residual sugars is conditioned by the acidity of the wine. The more acidic the wine is, the less sweet it will seem, given the same amount of sugar.
