Fernão Pires is the white king (present throughout): pale, lively and fruity with citrus, green apple, white flowers and a delicate aromatic touch, crisp acidity. Arinto and Vital complement it with freshness. Castelão is the red king with Aragonez, Tinta Miúda and Touriga Nacional: full-bodied with ripe black fruits, spices and firm tannins, excellent for ageing.
