The Coteaux du Vendômois red is a Dry red wine. It falls into the category of still wine. It is produced in the Vineyard of the Loire, vineyard in the west of France and more precisely in the wine region of Touraine. Administratively, it can be produced in the department of Loir-et-Cher.

Its Terroir benefits from a temperate Climate with oceanic and oceanic influence and soils of chalk tuffeau, clay-limestone and flint clay. The "Pineau d'Aunis N" Grape variety is the only main grape variety that can be used to make Coteaux du Vendômois red wine. It should be noted that complementary or accessory grape varieties may be used. The Coteaux du Vendômois red has the French label AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) as well as the European label AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée).
