The wine region of Monti Lessini is located in the region of Vénétie of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Ca' Rugate or the Domaine Giannitessari produce mainly wines sparkling and white. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Monti Lessini are Garganega, Chardonnay and Pinot blanc, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Monti Lessini often reveals types of flavors of non oak, microbio or oak and sometimes also flavors of tree fruit, citrus fruit or earth.
In the mouth of Monti Lessini is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 22 estates and châteaux in the of Monti Lessini, producing 43 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Monti Lessini go well with generally quite well with dishes of veal, pork or game (deer, venison).
Very old vine cultivated in Italy, in Sicily it would carry the name of grecanico dorato and in Spain would be the malvasia mauresa... . It can be found in the United States, but in France it is almost unknown. It should be noted that its bunches resemble somewhat those of the ugni blanc or trebbiano toscano and it would be related to the verdicchio blanco.
