The sylvaner is grown mainly in Germany and Alsace. The buds are somewhat cottony and the young leaves are green. The same applies to the ribbed branches. The wine region of Carnuntum is located in the region of Niederösterreich of Weinland of Austria. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Markowitsch or the Domaine Weingut Artner produce mainly wines red, white and pink.
