Intraspecific crossing between the saint laurent and the limberger realized in 1922 and in Austria by Fritz Zweigelt (1888/1964) who named it rotburger. The wine region of Red Mountain is located in the region of Yakima Valley of Washington of United States. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Quilceda Creek or the Domaine Obelisco Estate produce mainly wines red, sweet and white.
