Discover the grape variety: Mara

Light, fruity reds with a clear ruby robe, smooth tannins and a supple palate of simple red fruits (raspberry, strawberry, cherry), gentle spices and floral notes. A thirst-quenching profile to drink young. Once grown in the South-West, now nearly extinct, preserved in INRAE varietal collections for its genetic value. A rare French grape, witness to the pre-phylloxera ampelographic diversity of the South-West.

The wine region of Texas

5th US producer with a Mediterranean style suited to the heat. Signature Tempranillo as red: fleshy and fruity with notes of ripe cherry, plum and sweet spices, round tannins. Also dense Tannat, spicy Mourvèdre, juicy Sangiovese, peppery Syrah. Suited aromatic whites: full Viognier (apricot, flowers), saline Vermentino, lively Albariño.

The word of the wine: Primeur

Said of wines from the last vintage and, by extension, wines of the year, fruity and easy-drinking, put on sale on the third Thursday in November. The AOC regulations specify that a wine is said to be primeur if it is bottled before the spring, and nouveau if it is bottled before the following harvest. Beaujolais Nouveau is therefore a vin primeur.
