Discovering the wine region of Lazio

Two-millennia Roman vineyard, predominantly white on the volcanic soils of the Castelli Romani. Frascati DOC as figurehead: fresh, accessible whites based on Malvasia and Trebbiano, notes of green apple, white flowers and almond, slightly bitter finish. Also Bellone and Grechetto. Emblematic red: Cesanese del Piglio DOCG, fleshy with notes of ripe cherry, dry herbs and spice, round tannins.

Temperate climate. The Roman table wine par excellence.

Discover the grape variety: Montepulciano

Powerful, fruity reds with a deep ruby robe, supple but present tannins and fresh acidity, showing intense aromas of black cherry, blackberry, plum, violet, sweet spices, liquorice and balsamic notes. Round, generous palate, approachable young. Also in luscious rosés. Absolute star of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC, Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC (rosé) and Colline Teramane DOCG, pillar of the Marche (Conero DOCG). Autochthonous Abruzzo variety, one of the most planted in Italy.
