Discover the grape variety: Rousse

It is said to have originated in the Vallée du Gier, south-west of Lyon, and is found only in this region, like the Mornen, with which it has long been associated. It disappeared from the vineyard a long time ago, but is currently being recognized thanks to the association for the restoration and development of the Coteaux du Gier vineyard (A.R.D.V.C.G). A few vines still remain in a mixture in very old plots.

Romagna/emilia">Emilia-Romagna is a Rich and fertile region in Northern Italy, and one of the country's most prolific wine-producing regions, with over 58,000 hectares (143,320 acres) of vines in 2010. It is 240 kilometers (150 miles) wide and stretches across almost the entire northern Italian peninsula, sandwiched between Tuscany to the South, Lombardy and Veneto to the north and the Adriatic Sea to the east. Nine miles of Liguria is all that separates Emilia-Romagna from the Ligurian Sea, and its uniqueness as the only Italian region with both an east and west coast. The word of the wine: Sweet (flavor)

The flavour provided by the residual sugars naturally present in the wine as well as by certain alcohols. This sensation can range from a simple impression of smoothness to a clear sweetness. We speak of roundness, fatness and mellowness.
