The wine region of Neusiedlersee-Hügelland is located in the region of Burgenland of Weinland of Austria. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Scheiblhofer or the Domaine Prieler produce mainly wines red, white and sweet. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Neusiedlersee-Hügelland are Chardonnay, Zweigelt and Merlot, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. The wine region of Weinland

Weinviertel DAC – whose name translates as "wine quarter" – is an appellation in Niederösterreich (Lower Austria). It is by far the largest Districtus Austriae Controllatus wine region in Austria. It was also the first Austrian wine region to be given that title, in 2002, with a DAC Reserve designation added in 2009. The designation applies only to white wines from the Grüner Veltliner Grape variety.

The word of the wine: Draft liquor (champagne)

After blending, the wine is bottled with a liqueur de tirage (a mixture of sugar and wine) and a yeast (selected yeasts). The yeast attacks the sugar and creates carbon dioxide. The fermentation, which lasts about two months, is prolonged by an ageing period (15 months minimum in total). The bottle is capped (some rare vintages are capped with a staple and a cork).
