The wine region of Alsace Grand Cru 'Furstentum'

Grand Cru of Kientzheim and Sigolsheim in Haut-Rhin (30. 5 ha, 300–400 m on a 37% steep slope, lower Dogger marl-limestone-sandstone, ideal south-facing exposure accumulating heat and moisture): Gewurztraminer in white — intense exotic fruit and spice aromatics, rich and balanced palate with great ageing potential. Pinot Gris with ample and racy fruity register, Riesling complementing. Warm and draining terroir favouring ideal slow aromatic maturation.

The wine region of Alsace

Capital of great French aromatic whites, most often dry and single-varietal. Straight, mineral Riesling (lemon, gunflint), opulent, exuberant Gewurztraminer (lychee, rose, spices), round, smoky Pinot Gris, floral, crisp Muscat, supple Pinot Blanc. Fine, fruity Crémants d'Alsace, exceptional sweet Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles. 15,500 ha at the foot of the Vosges on varied soils, 51 Grands Crus since 1975.
