Discover the grape variety: Aglianico

Powerful, tannic reds with deep colour and tight structure, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, leather, tobacco, coffee and balsamic-volcanic mineral notes. High acidity and very fine ageing potential, often compared to nebbiolo. Star of Taurasi DOCG in Campania and Aglianico del Vulture DOCG in Basilicata (vines planted on volcanic soils). Late-ripening southern Italian variety of probable ancient Greek origin.

The wine region of Irpinia

Province of Avellino in Campania, land of three Southern DOCGs (Taurasi, Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo) on volcanic high-altitude vineyards. Aglianico reigns in red ('Barolo of the South') with signature notes of black cherry, blackberry, tobacco, leather, faded violet, spices and a mineral touch, firm tannins and long ageing. Opulent Fiano white (honey, hazelnut, yellow fruits), taut and mineral Greco di Tufo (pear, citrus, smoke). Noble, gastronomic southern wines.

The wine region of Campania

Cradle of southern Italy's great wines on volcanic soils. Majestic Aglianico in red: structured, deep and tannic with notes of black cherry, candied plum, leather and spices, sublimated in age-worthy Taurasi DOCG, the "Barolo of the south". Identity whites of Irpinia: opulent Fiano di Avellino (honey, hazelnut), mineral iodine Greco di Tufo, aromatic Falanghina (peach, flowers). Also supple Piedirosso.

The word of the wine: Wine library

Cellar in which are kept bottles that retrace the history of a domain, a vintage, an exceptional wine, etc., and which constitute a collection. It is also said of a place that offers a very wide choice of wines served by the glass. The oenotheques are more and more widespread in the living rooms opened to the public.
