The wine region of Isere is located in the region of Comtés Rhodaniens of Vin de Pays of France. Comtés Rhodaniens is a regional PGI title that covers the red, white and rosé wines of a large area along the Rhône River in Southeastern France. The wine to be bottled is taken from the barrels on the lower level, which is replaced by younger wine from the upper level, and so on.
