The Berceo Estate is an exceptional vineyard located in the Rioja region of Spain. Established in 1801, it is one of the oldest estates in Rioja and offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity. The name of the estate, Berceo, comes from the medieval poet Gonzalo de Berceo, thus reflecting the strongly rooted traditions of the estate as well as its aspiration for inspiration and innovation. The estate stretches over an area of 50 hectares of vineyards, where native grape varieties from the Rioja region such as Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo, and Viura are cultivated. The Berceo Estate is known for producing wines that are a true reflection of the land, benefiting from an ideal temperate climate for viticulture with fresh Atlantic winds and abundant sunshine. Upon entering the estate, you are awed by the stunning mountain and carefully tended vineyard panoramas that stretch as far as the eye can see. Historical buildings bear witness to centuries of winemaking history, with a centuries-old barrel cellar where wine is aged in French and American oak barrels. The estate also has a modern facility equipped with cutting-edge wine production technology. The hospitality of the Berceo Estate is also legendary. Visitors are invited to discover the winemaking process by taking part in guided tours of the vineyard and the cellar, followed by a tasting of their award-winning wines, offering fruity aromas and complex flavors that captivate with each sip. Additionally, the estate is actively committed to sustainability, applying environmentally friendly viticultural practices to preserve the fertility of the land and the biodiversity of the region.
